quite boring

Right. I’m writing this, anyway, even if I can’t get on blogger; even if the baby keeps waking up; even if I keep getting moaned at about the teenagers. Grrrr. Well I haven’t that much to say, actually, now I’ve lost my concentration.

Well I would’ve had a quiet day today, with J and F at school, but had the sudden urge to go to (Steiner) playgroup, as I was passing. Not before a quick look round the second-hand market (3 Ladybird books) and Joblot discounts (cool notebook and pens for J). I ended up not getting home till late lunchtime, and that was all I had time for before I had to go out again. Well, A enjoyed playgroup and I saw a few friends, and got some advice about F’s nightmares. Not sure how useful, though. Do you avoid stories with wolves (which doesn’t work) or gently tell stories in which wolves are overcome (daren’t try this). I don’t think they are caused by stories, just part of growing up, I suppose. Found new Hawthorn book catalogue with Free Range Education in it: must buy. http://www.hawthornpress.com/ Like the look of The Birthday Book, too.
I had to read the whole of (Ladybird) Peter Pan to F, and J read Hansel and Gretel, mostly to herself, as I was busy with the others. B actually came home before they were asleep, but only to in time to say goodnight. O, and he’s finally been offered a permanent job. It’s almost an anticlimax now he’s finally got it. Maybe there will be some more stability around here, then.
Anyway, I have to read through all this governors stuff (J’s X-school) before the meeting tomorrow and it looks like I’ll be taking it to bed, if I can get in there.

Sympathies on the nightmare front - so horrendous when it happens, and I don't think there is any answer to it. How old is F? Do you flexi-school then?
congrats on B's job - what does he do?
F was 4 in Sept. I think nightmares may be improving. F does 2 days and J does 3 days at Motessori school. (A is sprinkling large pot of gitter onto carpet.)
B is a computing consultant. Job is with the Halifax (HBOS) at Copley Data centre, largest office in Europe, 20 mins from here. Still hasnt sunk in yet. He will be here at tea time? every night? and breakfast?
