Zen gardens
Yesterday we had a very pleasant afternoon at Tech's open house, with Elaine and Jr, and The Fairies. Allie and B played a great game of put the pebbles into the hole in the pot in the Zen garden. They all ran crazily around the green, after the dog, just before we went home. Copious amounts of tea was consumed and many a discussion was had while the children played. Tech showed us the new idiotproof Wordpress blog platform, Blogsome, (argh! after I just set up loads of new Blogger blogs for people).
On the way I returned Elaine's computer which Brendan had fixed the night before, so called in on the way back to make sure it was working and made sure Firefox was installed. We checked out Elaine's cellar and garden to see what needed doing to turn it into a playroom. It was how you would expect after a few years of neglect. I concluded that it just needed "going at" at backed away steadily towards the door, having the get to the chippy before it closed.
Allie fell asleep on the way back from Tech's, which was nearly bed time, and consequently wouldn't go to bed until after 11.30, by which time I was already asleep. I woke up sometime later, fully clothed, to the beep-beep of a mysterious alarm that goes off about 3 times then stops and no-one admits to owning it. I was woken up again at about 5am by the cat miaowing loudly upstairs to be put out. Argh! So now being dragged to the Craggs, not sure if I want to go, but feel responsible for the children, and that I have to go, Brendan never actually offering any reassurance or willingness that he is capable of doing anything with them without me. Argh!
