Buttercup fairy
I ran up this little buttercup fairy outfit this afternoon. It's not finished but, at least the main part is done. Now it just needs wings, a hat and shoes? I based it on a dress that was much too small, which became the petticoat, and just added some petals and a leaf jerkin, made of an old sweatshirt and fleece. Jem has been agonising over a costume for the gala float. She has been working on her flower fairy alphabet book for some time, so it seemed a good idea, and it is quite bright and summery. She really enjoyed dancing around for me to take a picture!
After tea we decided to have one of the coconuts that I got for the coco-coconut song. It was quite comical trying to saw it in half.

Make holes in at least 2 of the 3 little dots with something sharp, like scissors or a skewer and pour out the milk. Then take one saw. I didn't do this bit, but it seemed to take some time. Put it this way: It was a good job we weren't hungry and coconuts were the only food. They didn't really like it anyway.
...like the lazy coco-coconut....
That's a lovely dress :0)
