Hope she enjoyed herself :0)
I'm wondering when to introduce Tamsin to riding ... having loved it myself when I was a child. I hope yours enjoyed it.
Woooh! It's Jem on a horse!! Was she very excited about it? She looks about 3 years older all of a sudden.
she loved it! She was practising on the large rocking horse the night before! She seems to have a good riding position.
They said they only really take children over 8, I think because of the size of the horses, and them being able to control them with their legs. But I have heard today of somewhere that takes them at 4 so they could both go. I guess they know when they want to do it. She's had the occasional go on donkeys at the seaside, and horses and has always loved it. I'm not sure about doing it every week, though.
Hmm... from a financial point of view, it's been something I've kind of hoped my kids didn't get into. At one stage they did, when I had a friend who had stables & let us ride for free in exchange for me healing her horses ( - brilliant deal!) But luckily they didn't miss it when we stopped going.
I'm quite intrigued by something Jax said on one of the lists about keeping a horse being not much more expensive than keeping a dog, though... must remember to ask her about that.
