icky

Ok, said I would't moan any more, but this is quite funny (in retrospect). Had quite a busy day today and quite a busy week, so far. Forgot I had so many things I had sort of arranged to do- go to playgroup to meet someone (who didn't turn up - this keeps happening this week); go to lunch- I was an hour late and they had finished, but still made me some; go to tea! A friend with 3 small boys- tea had gone disasterously wrong in the breadmaker and at least one of the boys was screaming at full volume whilst she tried to rustle up something else and I tried to read stories to other 2 small boys, plus my 2 small boys, all clambering for a place on my lap. After tea, which Allie didn't eat, and while all the others were still sitting at the table, he spectacularly threw up all over me, himself and the dining/playroom carpet. This friend is the person who, in my opinion, is super-hygene conscious, always reaching for the tea tree, and, I would have thought, out of all the people I know, would be the most grossed out by this, but was ok. We made a hasty exit. I can't think of a worse place he could have thrown up. Actually, I just have- my friend's house, where I had lunch, who is out of babies, who had just boulght a lovely new rug, and is very, very house proud. It could have been so much worse. Lucky he slept most of the time he was there and I didn't give him anything to eat until we left in case he dropped crumbs on the carpet!

Yuck!

Have to admit, we'd probably end up doing the same with Cuisinaire rods (I know some people swear by them, but I can't seem to really see the point, I may well be missing something).
