Water play

Another advantage to not having a dishwasher is that the washing-up becomes more interesting (to children, I mean). Allie has been doing a lot of water play, and loving it. Well, he's only just started to stand up, really. I suppose now he's into standing up on chairs up to the sink and the work-surface I'll have to watch him. He had one foot in the sink today! I'm sure he would just climb on in there with the plates and have a whale of a time!

LOL Lyddie loves the kitchen sink too! It's the only water she'll go near apart from the weekly shower ordeal about which she has no choice, oh and muddy puddles of course! I remember Zara doing a lot of early learning by washing up. I still like playing with it myself! Never ceases to amaze me you can have air in a glass *under water* and water in it above! I know the theory of course, but it doesn't stop me being fascinated.
