You've got a seasonal table.. good idea! I wonder if we could manage one here without it being played with, taken apart and scattered. Do you put yours out of reach? Or are you strict about them playing with it? Or do you just rebuild it regularly? Hope you don't mind the quiz! ;-)
I was thinking about getting organised with a seasonal table (space was a bit of an issue) but have decided to use the mantlepiece (out of Nin's reach) - I had the same idea about putting on a shallow bowl of crocuses (as opposed to snowdrops) - or maybe some mini-narcissi/daffodils (I can never remember which are the titchy ones). I've got a lovely glass candlestick (ice) to put a candle in and thought I might treat myself to some candles from Brighter Blessings. I planned to pick up some fabric from the market when I pop in on Wednesday.
It is currently on top of the piano- out of reach for Aly, but J and F are allowed to 'help'- it gets rearranged quite often. I try not to be too precious about it, but they dont mess with it too much. It has been on the mantlepiece, a low table and the windowsill. Sometimes it is a mobile, or is not there at all. I only do it if I feel like it, but usually find it rewarding. I collect bits of different coloured floaty fabrics from here and there - jumble sales.
Ah ok, thanks for that :-) You're very inspiring!
